UNS - Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta's Educational Technology Masters Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), held an online workshop successfully. The "E-Module for Learning in the Digital Era" workshop was held online via Zoom meeting cloud.
The workshop, which was successfully attended by over 1,000 teachers and lecturers from various provinces in Indonesia, was opened with the preface by the Head of the UNS Educational Technology Masters Program, Dr. Triana Rejekiningsih. After that, the workshop was followed by the delivery of material from Dr. Eka Budhi Santosa, lecturer at the UNS Educational Technology Masters program, and Iwan Maulana, M.Pd., an alumnus of UNS Educational Technology Masters.
In the material presentation session, Dr. Eka Budhi explained that e-learning could use two learning media in this digital era. These media are display media and reality media.
"Display media are images that contain information or messages that must be immediately understood by those who see them, without having to explain them orally, such as flip charts, charts, graphs, posters, bulletin boards, and the like. Meanwhile, reality media convey information in the form of actual or original objects and does not experience significant changes," explained Dr. Eka Budhi.
Iwan Maulana, M.Pd., explained the material in the next session. In his material, he discussed the development of e-modules. Based on his explanation, E-modules are modules displayed in an electronic format that can be connected via a link as navigation. With this navigation, participants are expected to interact more with the learning program. In addition, the E-module is also equipped with video tutorials, animations, and audio presentations to enrich learning media.
"The purpose of developing this e-module is to clarify and make it easier to present messages so they are not too verbal. Then, to overcome the limitations of time, space, and sensory power and to increase motivation and enthusiasm for the student learning program. It is also to develop students' ability to interact directly with the environment and other learning resources," said Iwan Maulana.
With this e-module, students are expected to be able to learn independently according to their abilities and interests so that they can measure and evaluate their learning performance.
