The Alumni Family of the Faculty of Economics and Business (KAFEB) at Sebelas Maret University (UNS) in Surakarta has introduced an electronic money-based Membership Card for its alumni. The launch of this membership card took place concurrently with a Halalbihalal and Reunion event called "Nyareng" (Gathering and Enjoying Together), held at Plataran Kinandari, Jakarta, on Saturday, May 6, 2023.
During this launch, the partnering bank was present to provide electronic money card services with a special design, enhanced security features, and special discounts for transactions at select merchants. The card features a combination of Blue and Turquoise colors, which reflect UNS's identity, symbolizing stability and productivity and signifying cooperation that mutually contributes positively and productively to building Indonesia.
The wavy shape in light colors pointing upwards represents the diverse ages and professions of FEB UNS alumni, symbolically illustrating how this diverse background comes together to continue growing collectively with a contemporary spirit to contribute to the country.
The triangular graphic meeting in the middle from both sides reflects the interconnectedness and continuity among KAFEB UNS members. It signifies the importance of self-sufficiency that will be needed by FEB UNS graduates in nation-building together.
Doni Primanto Joewono, the Chairman of KAFEB UNS, expressed his pride in the launch of this alumni electronic money membership card, given the increasing need for easy and quick transactions in the digital era. This initiative was taken to provide convenience to alumni members.
The alumni in attendance also welcomed the membership card positively, as expressed by Irwan Tri Nugroho, an alumnus and Acting Vice-Rector for Planning, Cooperation, Business, and Information at UNS. He welcomed the existence of this membership card as a way to strengthen alumni identity and provide economic benefits, as well as a commitment to professional alumni membership management. It is hoped that this membership card will strengthen the connected alumni network.
