The Research Group (RG) for Teaching and Citizenship Education from the Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) Study Program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta, in collaboration with the Teachers' Subject Meeting (Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran - MGMP) for Pancasila and Citizenship Education in Junior High Schools in Pacitan Regency, has conducted a community service activity. The activity was in the form of a workshop aimed at developing Learning Objective Sequences (Alur Tujuan Pembelajaran - ATP) and Teaching Modules with the support of Assessment Applications. This workshop was held at SMP Negeri 3 Pacitan on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

The RG Teaching and Citizenship Education team from PPKn FKIP UNS, led by Dr. Rini Triastuti, S.H., M.Hum., along with team members such as Dr. Muhammad Hendri Nuryadi, S.Pd., M.Sc., Wijianto, S.Pd., M.Sc., and Raharjo, S.Pd., M.Sc., organized this activity specifically for PPKn teachers in junior high schools in Pacitan Regency, both from public and private schools.

Dr. Rini Triastuti explained that this activity was a response to the curriculum changes from Curriculum 2013 to the Merdeka Curriculum. Teachers, as key players in the field of education, need to be prepared for changes in education policies. However, based on a survey of 52 teachers who filled out questionnaires, many faced difficulties developing ATP. This workshop was designed to assist teachers in developing ATP and Teaching Modules using Assessment Applications as per the identified needs.

In the workshop, the first session discussed the development of the curriculum and the transition to the Merdeka Curriculum, including the paradigm shift in curriculum changes in Indonesia, especially in the transition from Curriculum 2013 to the Merdeka Curriculum. The Merdeka Curriculum aims to develop students' interests, talents, character, and competencies, focusing on core subjects.

The second session addressed the concept of ATP and Teaching Modules applied in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum. ATP serves as a guide to achieving learning objectives at specific stages. Teaching Modules are more detailed teaching tools than Lesson Plans (Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran), which outline classroom teaching plans.

The third session involved the Assessment Learning Application and engaged workshop participants in its practical use. The goal was to enhance participants' understanding, specifically the PPKn teachers in Pacitan Regency, of TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge).

Through this workshop, it is expected that PPKn teachers in junior high schools in Pacitan Regency can improve their ability to design learning sequences, especially in developing ATP and Teaching Modules in line with the spirit of the Merdeka Curriculum.
